The issue of home work being done online by writers and freelancers at nominal costs for students is not related to or restricted to the educational system or teaching fraternity alone. This issue raises serious doubts over level of involvement of parents in education of their children.
If you do not know how your child spends his or her pocket money and if your child gets consistently high grades without seeming to put in any effort whatsoever, it is your duty to become suspicious. Take steps to clarify your doubts. Remember, children do not understand the consequences of certain actions because they are focusing on short term results. Sacrifice cash in exchange of well written homework projects and praise from parents and teachers may seem like a good deal for children.
However, it is important to teach them that their façade is not going to fool anybody. There will come a time when your child will have to study on his or her own and perform. If tendency to rely on free or premium resources for completing school budgets continues, there may come a time when the child will run out of excuses to justify poor performance.
As a parent, you should maintain strict control over these aspects. Instructing your kid not to use the internet for school project research does not make sense. It is a veritable source of information.
The important thing is to lay a moral and ethical base and combine it with strict vigilance to ensure your child does not take the easy way out just because it seems attractive in the short run.
