These days a higher quality education is essential to the growing child. There was a time when getting to high school was all that it took to be set up with the right kind of knowledge and security needed. However, these days the high school is not even the bare minimum. But with so many schools having problems in their test scores there needs to be something more that should change in the way schools function, and one of those things that’s changing is the school schedule.
There was a time when kids would have the summer off simply because America was a farming country and kids needed the time off to help raise the crops. They would go to school after the last harvest. These days we have stay stuck in that because it’s what we have always done, but there is proof that it’s not the best way to do things.
The best way to do things is to go year round. Kids have shown to retain less information on a summer break than at any time of year. Kids have shown that they done better and are better disciplined when they have year round education and that really does mean a lot to them. Schools are attempted to do this also to keep those affected by lower income neighborhoods off the streets. This is a big deal and many governments are looking into making a permanent change. Not just for the children, but the reputation of American schools.
